A Night of Solidarity & Hope for Israel in Miami
On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, donors and alums of Birthright Israel Foundation gathered in Miami for an evening of solidarity and hope for Israel. The evening was co-chaired by Carolyn & Melvyn Miller, Marla & David Susser, and Debi & Jeffrey Wechsler. The program opened with touching remarks from former IDF Air Force Pilot Shaked Rogovsky and his wife Karin, who also had the audience join them for a moment of silence and the singing of Hatikvah. Sharon Socol then gave beautiful opening remarks and introduced Birthright Israel alums Gabriella Guez and Adela Cojab, who shared how Birthright Israel gave them strength and resilience in the face of antisemitism.
Howard Socol had the pleasure of introducing Jacob Solomon, CEO of The Greater Miami Jewish Federation, who shared more about their endeavors to support Israel during this time. Elias Saratovsky, President & CEO of Birthright Israel Foundation, concluded the program by reminding us all why we are committed to these educational experiences in Israel. More so, Birthright Israel Onward looks forward to welcoming participants for a volunteer experience in Southern Israel to help with food rescue operations this November.
It is because of your generosity Birthright Israel Foundation can continue to impact the next generation of young Jewish adults one experience at a time. We hope that you will consider sending one more young Jewish adult on a Birthright Israel trip at $4,500 per participant. Your gift today can ensure we are ready to meet the demand when trips resume.
