The energy and passion at our Birthright Israel Foundation event last week is in great thanks to our host committee, comprised of over 17 committed donors from New Jersey. The event took place at The Orange Lawn Tennis Club, thanks to donor Evan Ratner. It was a great reminder of how important it is for us to continue passing the torch of Jewish resilience from one generation to the next.

Birthright Israel ignites a spark of passion and dedication in our young Jewish adults, building a strong connection to Israel and to their Jewish identity. The night kicked off with remarks from Evan Ratner and Dr. Zohar Raviv, International Vice President of Educational Strategy at Birthright Israel, followed by a panel discussion about the impact of Birthright Israel. The panel featured three participants, Adela Cojab, Max Leibowitz, and Shavit Rootman, and was moderated by alum and donor David Rak, who weaved in his own life-changing experience.

Guests also had the chance to hear from Birthright Israel’s International Vice President of Educational Strategy, Dr. Zohar Raviv, who spoke about Birthright Israel as an existential necessity for the State of Israel and the Jewish people.
