Birthright Israel Hosts 25th Anniversary Celebration in Miami
This year, Birthright Israel proudly celebrates 25 years of life-changing programs, and what better way to kick off this milestone than with an incredible alumni event in Miami?
This past Saturday night, we marked this historic occasion in the vibrant Miami Design District. Thanks to DACRA’s generous venue donation, the stage was set for an unforgettable evening.
The event brought together 249 attendees, thanks to the efforts of an engaged 24-member host committee of young alumni and supporters. Guests traveled from across the U.S.—New York, New Jersey, Louisiana, Texas, and California—as well as from Argentina and Canada.
The night featured inspiring speeches from alumni Julia Pratt and Brendan Schneier, who spoke about the importance of next-generation giving. Andria Aylyarov, VP of Donor Experience, emphasized that alumni engagement is the driving force behind Birthright Israel's future. National Board Member Laura Zebersky encouraged attendees to step into leadership roles and expressed gratitude for their ongoing support.
One of the evening’s highlights came when Hailey Susser and Ari Reichstein introduced alum Rami Even-Esh, better known as Rapper Kosha Dillz, who delivered an electrifying performance. Guests also enjoyed music by DJ Matan Suissa and comedy from Gary Suharik (Baba Fira), a beloved trip staffer from the Russian-speaking community who has led 20 Birthright Israel trips.
The excitement didn’t end there—EL AL generously donated two $1,500 flight vouchers for a raffle, and, in true Miami fashion, the festivities continued at an afterparty, where all ticket sale proceeds benefited the Birthright Israel Foundation.
The energy and enthusiasm of the evening set the tone for an impactful year ahead. This celebration not only commemorated Birthright Israel’s 25th anniversary but also reinforced the essential role alumni play in ensuring future generations experience the gift of Jewish discovery, pride and connection.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue celebrating this anniversary year and our incredible community.
