Alyce & Phil de Toledo Host a Special Los Angeles Reception feat. Alum Eden Cohen
On Tuesday, May 9, 2023, Birthright Israel Foundation board chair Phil de Toledo and his wife Alyce opened their home to our Los Angeles donors. Guests had the honor to hear from Los Angeles Leadership Cabinet Chair Simon Mendelson, Birthright Israel alum and Senior Advisor to Former Special Envoy Noa Tishby Eden Cohen and Phil de Toledo.
Simon opened the gathering by giving a program overview and provided context and insight as to how Birthright Israel impacts our young people, builds a connection to their Jewish identity, their homeland, and creates a desire to remain an active part of the Jewish community. He concluded with why he and his wife Sharon are passionate about our mission and then introduced Eden.
Eden shared how her Birthright Israel trip forever changed the trajectory of her life and more on her crucial Israel advocacy work. The evening concluded with an important Birthright Israel update from Phil and how a gift will have a critical and lasting impact.
We are grateful to our Los Angeles community for their commitment to our various programs that impact young Jewish adults worldwide.
