VIDEO: Discovering My Jewish Heritage After Growing Up In An Interfaith Household
Brian Quinn grew up in Wisconsin to an African-American mother who is Jewish and an Irish-American father who is Christian. He always knew his Jewish heritage was part of him, but being the only Jew in his high school, he slowly felt both religions taking a back seat. Fast forward to now, Brian’s younger brother went on Birthright Israel and couldn't stop raving about his experience and the knowledge he gained about their Jewish heritage. Brian and his other brother applied for Birthright Israel and spent 10-days in Winter 2019 exploring their Jewish heritage. Now Brian proudly wears a Star of David necklace. Watch his video below for his Birthright Israel story.
