Noodle kugel is a cherished and comforting Jewish dish. A classic noodle kugel features cooked egg noodles, which serve as the main ingredient and foundation of the dish. These wide, ribbon-like noodles are cooked until they reach the perfect al dente consistency, offering a delicate chewiness that holds up well during baking.

The deliciousness of a noodle kugel is in the mixture: a velvety blend of cottage cheese, sour cream, cream cheese, and eggs. Many then add a sweetness touch with ingredients like raisins, sugar, and honey.

Our sweet noodle kugel recipe below will warm the hearts and stomachs of all your guests! It is the perfect side dish for any Shabbat meal too! It makes about ten servings.
