Debra Messing Joins Aspen Community to Support Birthright Israel
On August 6, friends and supporters gathered in Aspen for Birthright Israel Foundation’s Annual Event, a night of celebration, connection, and shared commitment to the Jewish future.
We heard from Birthright Israel alumna Abby Fish, who shared how her experience in a bomb shelter on Shabbat became a turning point in her Jewish identity. Elias Saratovsky, our President & CEO, spoke about the extraordinary impact of immersive Israel experiences and the urgent need to bring more young people to Israel.
We were also honored to welcome Emmy Award-winning actress and activist Debra Messing. In conversation with alumnus Lawrence Muscant, she spoke candidly about her recent trip to Israel and her unwavering Jewish pride. Her passion reminded us why we must invest in Birthright Israel to ignite that same spark in the next generation.
Birthright Israel is a bridge — the beginning of a lifelong connection to Jewish identity, to Israel, and to community. In today’s world, that connection matters more than ever.
It costs $5,000 to send one participant to Israel. Every gift helps fill the next bus and inspire the next generation of Jewish leaders.
