Hamptons Community Gathers to Support Birthright Israel
On Friday, July 25, we gathered at the Hamptons home of Lisa Kadin and William Spiegel to celebrate 25 years of Birthright Israel.
William opened the evening with a moving story about his son Ryan’s Birthright Israel Excel experience. He announced that he and Lisa are increasing their gift this year to help more young Jews build strong connections to Israel and Jewish life. As William shared, “We need to invest in the future of the Jewish people. And we need to do it now.”
Guests heard inspiring updates from Elias Saratovsky, President & CEO of Birthright Israel Foundation. Adela Cojab led a heartfelt conversation with Ryan Finkelstein and Maya Gavriel, who spoke about how their Birthright Israel experiences changed their lives and put them on paths to Jewish leadership.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and gave so generously. Together, we're building the Jewish future, one trip at a time.
We were honored to be joined by Charles Bronfman, co-founder of Birthright Israel, who announced a $1 million matching gift toward Operation Home & Return, doubling the impact of every new and increased donation.
