Highlights From Birthright Israel's 25th Anniversary Gala in New York City
Birthright Israel's 25th Anniversary Gala on November 3 in New York City was a defining moment for the Jewish people.
We honored philanthropist Lynn Schusterman, whose vision and generosity have shaped generations. “If we keep Birthright Israel strong,” she said, “Birthright Israel will keep the Jewish people strong.”
The night also marked the launch of our Generations Campaign, a bold commitment to bring 200,000 young Jews to Israel by 2030—raising $650 million for trips and $250 million in legacy commitments. Over $200 million has already been secured toward this goal.
We celebrated 25 outstanding alumni honorees, heard inspiring words from founder Charles Bronfman, welcomed a visiting group of IDF officers, and shared a special message from Evyatar David, a Birthright Israel alumnus until recently held hostage.
Since 1999, nearly one million participants have discovered what one trip can spark—stronger Jewish identity, deeper connection, and lifelong community. After October 7, Birthright Israel met the moment, bringing 50,000 young Jews to Israel, including thousands of volunteers who helped the country heal. One trip changes everything. And together, we’re changing the Jewish future.
