Boca Raton Community Celebrates Birthright Israel at Broken Sound Club
More than one hundred supporters and leaders of the Jewish community in Boca Raton, Florida, gathered at the Broken Sound Club to celebrate 25 years of Birthright Israel and reaffirm their commitment to the Jewish future.
The evening was co-chaired by Michelle Rebhun and Yael Epstein, with leadership and support from Pioneer Society Chair Louise Rubenfeld. Guests enjoyed cocktails, live saxophone music, and a moving program featuring IDF Officers who joined Birthright Israel through Mifgash, the shared programming between participants and their Israeli peers.
Michelle called on the community to help ensure every young Jew can experience Israel firsthand. “It costs $5,000 to send one participant,” she said. “That one trip truly changes everything.” Yael, a Birthright Israel alumna, spoke about the power of Mifgash to unite Jews from around the world. “No matter where we come from,” she said, “we are one global Jewish family — one nation with a shared destiny.”
Birthright Israel Foundation Southeast Region Vice President Kate Smith and National Board Member Barry Swidler closed the evening with a call to action, inviting guests to join the Generations Campaign, Birthright Israel Foundation’s bold initiative to bring 200,000 young Jews to Israel by 2030.
As glasses were raised for a toast of “Am Yisrael Chai,” the room was filled with pride, gratitude, and renewed commitment to strengthening the Jewish people for generations to come.
